Loan of Club kit to recent Beginners
As a stop gap measure until permanent kit can be acquired, Club Kit (mask, jacket, plastron, glove, breeches, bodywire, chest protection if applicable) can continue to be used by recent Beginners. Generally, the kit will be stored on Club premises, and should be stored there at the end of each evening. The kit should not be taken home without formal Club agreement.
Timescale - a timescale of two-three months from course completion is envisaged for the use of Club kit under these circumstances.
Cleaning at end of loan - as far as possible, loaned clothing should be washed, following the appropriate washing instructions, prior to return at the end of loan – please check with a Club Official before doing so.
Whilst using loaned Club kit, members undertake to take care of it, and accept full liability for repair or replacement, in the event of either damage or loss, (any such damage or loss to be reported to the Club Officers, as soon as practical).
The small print
The above kit remains the property of the Club at all times. Notwithstanding the timescale mentioned, please note that the kit may need to be returned prematurely to the Club before then, for stocktaking, or to cope with an influx of new beginners, or for any other reason as determined by the Club; as much notice as possible will be given in such circumstances. Note that in the event of damage or loss, this may be chargeable to the individual member concerned, depending on the circumstances.
Buying your own equipment - please see the guidance on the website.
