Whitchurch Shield - Rules, Regulations, Conditions, and Exclusions
- FORMAT
- One pool round followed by Direct Elimination.
- Separate competitions for Men's and Women's Epée. - END OF PISTE
Competitors are reminded that crossing the end of piste line with both feet means a hit for their opponent.
- TESTING OF WEAPONS
In the interests of smooth running, competitors are asked to test their weapons with the gauges provided, before first using them. (This is in addition to any checks peformed by the referees.)
- PRIZES
The Organisers reserve the right to re-allocate the prizes, in the absence of sufficient competitors, and/or as appropriate.
- RESPONSIBILITY
- Competitors are personally responsible for making sure their clothing and equipment is safe, and conforms to the relevant FIE & WF / BFA rules.
- It is a condition of entry that competitors accept that the Organisers cannot be held responsible for any accident, loss or damage sustained at the competition, howsoever caused.

- WF MEMBERSHIP
Competitors are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate level of membership of Welsh Fencing, or an equivalent body.
- ENTRIES
Entry to the competition is at the absolute discretion of the organisers. Note that in the event of over- or under-subscription, the organisers reserve the right to restrict or adjust numbers, as necessary.
- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
It is the responsibility of individual entrants to satisfy themselves on their meeting the eligibility criteria, and in the event of any dubiety, whether intended or not, the Organisers reserve the right to re-allocate prizes, or take any other action, as necessary ...
- PHOTOGRAPHY
During the competition photographs may be taken by the Competition Organisers. These are purely for the purpose of promoting Fencing, and the Whitchurch Shield. As far as possible, flash equipment will not be used.
