Learn to fence

The Olympic sport of Fencing is a great sport for boosting your body's health and fitness.   The emphasis is on speed rather than strength making it an ideal sport for both sexes.

We offer a short beginners course to learn fencing.   The course is aimed to take you from “complete beginner” to be able to join in fencing matches at the club.

The weapon taught is the Epée, this sword being the modern equivalent of the Rapier, a duelling sword where thrusts can be made to any part of the body.

"I would like to say a huge thank you for making us feel so welcome in the Club. Learning to fence should have been a very daunting experience - however you made it fun, whilst providing structured and easy to follow coaching in a safe environment.  We look forward to being active members in this friendly, yet challenging, club." - a recent beginner...
