At the 2006 BFA AGM in Glasgow, Keith Smith, BFA President, presented the BFA Silver Medal for services to fencing to Bob Turner, Chairman of Welsh Fencing, and also Whitchurch Club Chairman.
On a roll, Bob then won the Welsh Vets Epee Championship the following month - decisively beating several younger fencers.
