Welcome to new club member, Dave Barbara, Lieutenant in the Territorial Army, who with some TA colleagues, called in at Whitchurch Fencing Club to get some practice for the Army Fencing Championships, and are now regulars (in the club, not the army !).
As Dave explained, 'After an early start, and a 3 hour drive, we arrived at Aldershot in time to sign in, and then, while the other teams were practising, in true TA tradition we set off into Aldershot to look for breakfast.
Despite a ferocious competition on the Wednesday in the individual competion, we were unplaced, but on the Friday we came 4th in the team event. Overall had a great time, made some new friends - and we'll be back next year.'
