Sullivan Cup One hit mixed épée - Cardiff - 19 March 2006
Trying a different venue this year, the 17th O’Sullivan Cup was once again a closely fought contest, with a cross-section of both members from different clubs, and budding Pentathletes.
The halfway stage saw Richard Hildick-Smith just one point ahead of Nick Lee (7 times winner). Nick pulled up his score to equal Richard’s by the following bouts, but in the closing round, Richard effectively edged forward to get the verdict. Congratulations too to Chris Powell, for pulling a lead ahead of the pack, to take 3rd place
Unable to fence this year, but closely following the proceedings from the visitor seats was 2005 winner, Mike Lee
